Last year on Blizzards Starcraft 2 website had posted in their artwork section about 5 or 6 Black and White photos of a 3d model render of Tychus Findlay. They weren’t up for very long but I did happen to grab the High-resolution files before they were taken down several days later.

Since then I’ve been wanting to do something with these images and recently I challenged myself to give live and color to the model render and put him into a background of some kind. After many hours painting in Photoshop here is the end result. I did however borrow the background and borders from one of the Starcraft wallpapers on the Starcraft web site. But the rest of the design is all mine. I’m planning on making this into different screen sizes, but right now it is set for 1440 x 900 ppi. It was for my laptop not a desktop ok! Wow its been a while since I’ve written anything on here. I’ve been busy for sure, but lets be honest its mostly due to slacking off in this area of my life lol. Not to say that I have been slacking by any mean

My favorite project I have been working on, of many, are the door designs to the classroom at the college. I wanted to help promote the program by putting posters on the door when it hit us, why not just make the door the poster? I had a great time working on these, and so far these are the largest print work I’ve done so far.

Below are the 2 different designs I cam up with for the doors. FYI the black rectangle in the middle is my marker for the location of the window.

I recently came across and became aware of CSS Reboot. Apparently The CSS Reboot is a community event for web professionals and enthusiasts. Every November 1st and May 1st at 18:00 GMT, Rebooters from all over the world launch their standards based website redesigns simultaneously; bringing traffic, interest and a little respect to their sites. There are no prizes or arbitrary winners, just great exposure and the knowledge that we all participated in something great.

I was not sure what this was at first. I had to go to the about page to learn more. But after reading what its about I think it is a great idea. While I probably will not be able to Reboot any of my sites by the May 1st deadline, I will be there at the November deadline. I think this is a great way to showcase the benefits of CSS while also updating designs preventing a sites look from going stale.
